Why Salvaged Child?

We chose the name Salvaged Child, because it explains our mission precisely: We are saving (salvaging) children from the salvage yard of life.

In many societies, children are bartered like commodities, in exchange for cash. They don’t grow up in nice, neat suburbs like many of us did. They grow up in a world where moms and dads sell them, or someone abducts them, and sells them for profit, to a sex trader, or underground child exploitation group.

The bottom line: If we don’t do something to stop this cycle, many children’s lives will continue to be tossed aside and forgotten like so much refuse. Our intention is to smack people’s consciences – hard – so they wince from the mental imagery, and maybe, finally realize outreach ministries like Salvaged Child are the last stop between these children and premature death, unbearable pain, and immense suffering.

There is no brighter tomorrow for exploited children. Its either – be salvaged - or be forever lost in an unknown back alley, in a filthy city, miles from home.

Our mission is to do exactly what is stated: we MUST Salvage Children - before its too late.
