We have launched Salvaged Child – to help save children from human trafficking area. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, UNICEF, and Friends of Thai Daughters, the trafficking of children is increasing, as a worldwide crisis.
According to the Friends of Thai Daughters website: “The past decade has seen tremendous growth in human trafficking worldwide, a blatant abuse of human rights with devastating consequences for the millions of children, families, and communities affected by this horrific crime. UNICEF estimates that over one million children are trafficked each year, the majority into sex slavery and prostitution.
The Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Myanmar (Burma) and Laos converge, is home to a vast and growing network of human traffickers, seeking out troubled and impoverished families with few options.
These traffickers promise jobs as waitresses or maids in distant cities. Instead, girls as young as eight years old are confined to brothels where they may be forced to service up to 20 men per day, at risk of contracting HIV/AIDS or other diseases. Older girls are often sold overseas, where they are stripped of their documentation and left powerless to escape.”

Every day, more than 2000 children are abducted. That’s 800,000 – 1 million children a year.
Shocked? You should be. But being shocked by statistics isn’t going to help break the cycle, or rescue a single child. Did you know that many abducted children are killed, or thrust into a short, cruel life of exploitation every year? It’s not enough to be shocked, because no child will be rescued unless we do something to save them now.
Put yourself into an abducted child’s place – what would it be like to be sold into slavery by your mother or father, or kidnapped from your home or school, to vanish forever? To suffer unthinkable cruelty, repeated rape, and forced prostitution. How would you feel, to know there is no hope to be rescued, because nobody knows where your abductors have taken you?
